10:00 – 11:30 Grades Kindergarten – 3rd        INCLUDE IN FEE!

11:30 – 1:00pm Grades 4th – 6th

Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each week (No Wednesday Class)

 

June 15 -19 ÒWÓ IS FOR WATERCOLOR

Paint that is mixed with water is the most portable medium of all.  Learn traditional techniques and try some Modern–day tricks with water color.

June 22 – 26 PUPPETS ÔR ÔART

Finger puppets and hand puppets are fun to make.  In Indonesia, they tell stories with shadow puppets.  You can make them all!  Put on a puppet show the last day of class.

June 29 – July 3 AMERICA, THE BEAUTIFUL!

Design with more than starts and stripes.  Early American Art inspires the unique and personal artworks of our creative students of today.  HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, AMERICA!

July 6 – 10 TRAVEL THROUGH THE WORLD OF ART

Visit other lands and times, and learn about other cultures through ART! Passports NOT required.

Jul 13 – 17 MASTERS OF MODERN ART

Who were the artists that helped shape the world of Art that we know NOW?  Learn about them, their unique vision, and the effects they had on art as we know it, today.

Jul 20 – 24 2-D, 3-D, UNDER THE SEA-D

Underwater wonders inspire paintings and sculptures.  Express yourself with a little help from kelp.  LetÕs see if you are a burgeoning sturgeon or a surging sea urchin.  What is a Grape Jellyfish?

July 27 – 31 NO BRUSHES ALLOWED! (This workshop is an annual favorite of ours, Too!) A variety of painting media, and application methods will produce exciting results.  Paint without the traditional applicator – the paintbrush – Express yourself!

August 3 – 7 EUREKA! FOUND OBJECT SCUPTURE

Find a mess of cool things and put them together to make a COOLER thing.  Then call it ART!  Assemblage Art is very popular in todayÕs art-world.  One kidÕs trash is another kidÕs treasure!

August 10 – 14 HAND MADE PAPER Grind it!  Pulp It!  Color it!  Press it!

Make your own paper and use it to make pictures like Artist Denise Flemming does in her award-winning books!
